Hop Hooligans are redefining beer in Romania, a country in which the craft beer boom has only recently begun. But don't be fooled by these newcomers; their beers are wickedly good and are rapidly becoming famous across Europe for their unique mix of elite quality and utterly irreverent fun!
How did we find them, you ask? Social media, of course! And specifically, from a Scottish dude living in Bucharest that couldn't stop singing their praises on Instagram. Ahh, the happy marriage of technology, globalism, beer and HOOLIGANS! What could possibly go wrong?!!
We are incredibly proud and honored to bring Hop Hooligans to the USA for the first time, and we cannot wait to share their stunning assortment of IPAs, stouts, sours, and even a few traditional styles with you.

WOLF HUNT is a dry, bitter, resiny Westcoast DIPA with Comet, Centennial and Citra Cryo. It aims for crispness and especially a high IBU, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fruity in its own, old-school way.

LIGHTNING STRIKES TWICE is 2022’s entry for the Hop Growers of America competition. And it landed the second-place prize! All by the book, a hazy DIPA fermented with kveik, dry hopped with a lot of Idaho Gem, Comet, Idaho 7 and Centennial hops. Citrusy and floral, juicy and a bit dry, with prickly underripe pineapple and kiwi seed, plus a sharp grassy bite in the finish. Touch of bubblegum, too. Super refreshing.

LATE NIGHT HOTLINE is a killer 10% Triple IPA co-fermented with a blend of juicy New England strains and wine yeast. Add Idaho 7 hops for some biotransformation and the aromas we ended up with are really out of this world.
Fruit. Bowl. Sabro and Meridian hops work hard with the yeasts, bringing huge maracuja and tangerine, persimmon, Juicy Fruit gum, bruised banana, faint coconut and canned pineapple.

This round’s got Strata CGX, Mosaic and Citra Cryo. And they’ve got all the buffs enabled: mango, maracuja, freshly opened hop bags with a lupulin powder bang.

GINGERBREAD KOSCHEI is back, the robust and roasted Russian imperial stout sweetened with a touch of lactose and spiced with fresh ginger, Ceylon cinnamon and cloves.
It’s spicy-sweet at first and ashy-roasted in the finish. No booze. All rage.

Meet the newest SOURPUSS - MANGO HABANERO. It’s a different creature compared to the old ones, with a heavy treatment of mango purée, spiced with Habanero peppers, and then some sweet Habanada peppers for more character, and freshened up with lime and mint.
Add a bit of lactose, grab a spoon and wreck a glass!

We went a bit off the beaten path this week. Straight into the fields, you could say. SAISON DE PRISON - because you all know where we’re at. Spiced with the traditional grains of paradise, but also a hefty dose of pink peppercorn - it’s spicy and fragrant, prickly and zesty, rustic and grainy.
